Once again, I disagree with Wolfson. In this case, copyright law says everything is copyrighted unless explicitly placed in the public domain. There are exceptions, but certainly not for use for profit making by corporations. Again, either the companies (who I believe are guilty given they are gathering the materials) or the users are liable. The courts need to get involved quickly. Having the big tech companies on the hook for US$10s Trillions in penalties for these kinds of infringements means handing over the corporation. It is more than the net worth and far more than their coffers can cover.

On the other hand, it could be the first step towards a public, open option.
